Except for the fact that the Twitter brand is one of the most recognized globally, seems that a lot of people who doesn’t use Twitter don’t know what it was for.
So they launched a campaign aimed to tell what is Twitter itself:
I use Twitter daily, and it quickly become my first way of communication, have replaced my rss feeds, and it’s my primary source of information about what’s happen in the world.
As I’ve told before, I love the 140chars limit, because I think it force people to stay concise on what they want to say and share.
Bringing more people to Twitter can help making the platform more “horizontally” useful as a first way of communication, which (I think) can just be great.
